My 9 old daughter has just made her first Christmas card using the pin pricking technique. Does anyone know of any websites that we could download some free patterns? Kind thanks for any responses!

Thanks so much to all those that responded, but I think I didn't explain myself well enough....the card my daughter created was made by pricking holes from a transfer onto a card and then sewing through the holes....similar to this: http://www.stitchingcards.com/product.php/102/free-holly-wreath-pattern

I love pin pricking. Try some of these sites or you can use any downloadable clip art form the web.

When I think of pin-pricking patterns I think first of prick-and-ponce transfer of designs for embroidery and for quilting. So, you could search for "quilting designs". Or you could use coloring books or anything amusing, including advertisements and magazine pages, laying the printed material over your plain paper.

The secont thing I think of is pricked designs for needlemade lace. In terms of ideas, you could put a piece of fancy lace over plain paper and prick-away for a long time, outlining the major design elements.

Paper-pricking can also be combined with paper punches and be fancy scissors for smaller bits of imitation lace, to be displayed under clear glass plates.

This craft actually has a name, it's called Pergamano or Parchment craft. These are 2 sites that will help you.
