I have never tried this before but it recently sparked my interest. I am concerned that it might be expensive as something to try as a beginner. What would be the best way to go about trying this out? I'm thinking it terms of simple crafts and hobby projects. I appreciate any guidance from those of you who are familiar with it.

Ok, I am really in to claymations. And I am dying to get some good clay for them. Is there some recipe to make some really good clay. Something that you can easily make at home.
Ok, but if there is aboslutely, positively, no way to do that, what is the best clay that can be bought? I mean something really good, that comes in a large quanity. And is a reasonable price. And it is in a place that a lot of cities have. Like wal-mart, or k-mart, or target.

I recently ran across a large amount of rope (I'd say about 1/8" thick) and looking to make some cool stuff with it - notably a hanging planter (a series of knots to hold a clay pot, etc.) or a bowl. Anybody know any good sites or resources that i can look through to find rope crafts?

Know how? I would like to do this! Where do I get the stuff. How do I do it? Or is it not worth the work?

I am mostly interested in round--4mm, 6mm, 8mm etc to start with.
