When I bought mine, it didn't come with very detailed intstructions. Also, do you have to have some special paper for that kind of embossing? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Houses and automobiles to go with a track are listed as HO but what about models that aren't normally associated? I'm thinking 1/72 but I may be way out.

I want to make a quilt that is waterproof on one side and soft on the other. To use for picnics and sitting under when out on my porch in the rain. It needs to fold well and be machine washable. Is this possible? If so, what kind of fabric would I use?

a reservoir for an oil lamp?

I am trying to make oil lamps out of conch shells for decorations and to give away as favors for my wedding. I don't think it will be that difficult with a little trial and error, but I just want to get some ideas as to what kind of sealant I should use to close off the tip of the shell so that I can drill a hole and put oil and a wick into it. Only genuine suggestions please...no smarta*s snide remarks. :] Thanks.

****By the way******
There is a company that has a patent for the process of sealing the shell in order to make an oil reservoir, and I just want to be clear that I am in no way trying or hoping to steal that patent. I would purchase the shells from that unnamed company but I don't have enough $$$ in my wedding budget to spend $20-30/shell

I'm currently knitting a sweater for a friend, and I think it's going to be a bit short for him. I haven't sewn up the sides yet - is it possible for me to take out the ribbing at the bottom, knit some more (it's a simple stockinette stitch), add ribbing and bind off? Would the stitches I add on look upside down, since the sweater was made bottom-up, but the addition would be top-down? This may not even be possible, just wondering. Thanks!
