how much would you sell these handmade costume wings for?

I make wings for costumes by hand and i have wondered how much one would charge I put about $20 into the materials and min of 5 hours in to putting the feathers on

My mother told me that you should always mark your product x 4. You spent $20.00 of materials, you should sell it for $80.00. Very nicely done on your costume wings.

This month's Sew News Magazine says you should charge labor at $10.00 - $15.00 per hour, then add the cost of materials and multiply the whole thing by 4. So in your case that would be $280.00. So obviously you would want to streamline your process or find a better price on materials. I know that it's very slow to make the first one of anything, then it get speedier as you find ways to save time.

I wouldn't bother even selling them if they can be bought cheaper in a store somewhere. People don't really care that it's handmade, unfortunately.

Pretty neat.
I'd say $40 but I can't tell how they are put on. They look nice and secure.
Price is also dictated by demand and your target audience.
