Well to answer this question without writing a book about it, yes, over time all wheat cent have gone up in price. The rare and scarce ones more so, than the common ones. As time goes by some of the so called common ones, may not be that common as one thinks especially in mint state. Hope this helps.

Not very much. Wheat pennies were made of copper. The new pennies are copper coated zinc. I would hold onto them. You can still find them in circulation now and then. Not many people collect coins like they used to.

Not unless they are rare. The dealers are selling them for more than they are worth.
