I am wanting to etch some drinking glasses to match my dishes. I am wondering if after I etch on my design if anyone knows if I can use glass paint over the etched marks for color. Is the glass paint safe to use on drinking glasses? Is it dishwasher safe?

Thank you everyone that is able to help me out.

I have been collecting beer bottle caps for 3 months now, from parties, my own fridge, etc. Anyway, I am wanting to make something cool with them. I have seen chairs, stools, and other things like it.

Has anyone out there made anything like this before, or does anyone have any cool ideas that I could do?

Any tips, ideas, etc would be most appreciated! I want to start this process tomorrow!

Thanks in advance!

I recently bought a fiskus (sp) cutter for scrapbooking. You're supposed to be able to go both ways w/ blade and cut out templates. I am unable to get a good clean cut out following the template. The blade gets stuck or starts cutting the template. Any suggestions? Thanks

I want it to say To: Monica From John (in medium-sized cursive letters in one corner of the blanket) approximately roughly 50" x 70". So far I've looked at www.landsend.com and www.personalizationmall.com but I didn't see anything I liked. Any other suggestions?

I have just started sewing. i just finished my first clothing project, I made my daughter a pillowcase dress. I love it, and it was so easy to make. Now I want to make bloomers for my daughter. The ones that I would like to make are on this website http://www.flickr.com/photos/21846268@N00/434242619/
Can someone help me, please? I am so thankful that I discovered sewing and it's something that I am actually good at. I am 24 and I can't wait to make more things for my daughter and family.

Does anyone know of any costume orientated groups in Australia, namely Brisbane, that get together to show case costumes that they have designed and made themselves. I have heard of associations in the past that hold functions like this who mostly specialise in medieval and other historical dress. I have tried looking on search engines but no luck. The only closely related thing I could find were Cosplay conventions. Any help out there.....?

I am looking more for groups that focus on movie and fantasy based costumes. There seems to be alot of these groups in America but I cannot find anything here in Australia.

Could you give me some ideas of fairly easy things that you can make at home to sell? Like, friendship bracelets and stuff like that. Something that doesn't require a lot of skill, nothing too technical, and pretty cheap to make.

I am looking for an answer from someone who has performed a cost analysis on wooden swingsets. Is DIY savings worth the trouble of fabrication?

I think that, if it were to cost $100 extra to have a pre-fab kit, I'll spend the extra. But, if these manufacturers put a $250+ markup on materials; I will diy.

I have used transfer paper to iron images onto tshirts. I am washing them inside out, cold water as instructed but the image becomes "cracked". Is there any product that can be put onto the tshirt to protect the image. (i have read that 'Aleen's Laminate It" works but i can't get that in Australia.
Or does anyone have any suggestions about transfer paper brands that don't have this problem???? Thanks
