I have used transfer paper to iron images onto tshirts. I am washing them inside out, cold water as instructed but the image becomes "cracked". Is there any product that can be put onto the tshirt to protect the image. (i have read that 'Aleen's Laminate It" works but i can't get that in Australia.
Or does anyone have any suggestions about transfer paper brands that don't have this problem???? Thanks

Make sure that you have done a good enough job with the initial transfer, and then you need to protect the image from heat sources, including the dryer. You may have better luck if you only hand-wash your embellished shirts and hung them on a line to dry.

As for getting Aleen's Laminate It, have you seriously looked into getting it? If there is a craft store near you (especially a larger chain-type store), they may be able to order it in for you. It might be a bit expensive, but you could probably find a place to order it off the Internet as well.

I wish that I could offer some advice on which brands are the best, but I haven't had much use for transfers like that. You didn't mention which brands you have tried either. The only one that I can think of currently that seems relatively high quality is Avery brand. I wish you much luck in getting the results you are looking for.

It's not the washing that's the problem, it's how You DRY it! Don't put the Shirt in a Dryer, or if You Must, just do it for a little while and Hang Dry it the Rest of the Way. Remember... the Dryer is what Kills the Image!

Use equals areas of Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda, warm Water. Scrub blend gently over the stains with an old toothbrush and wash like familiar. My husband sweats gallons an afternoon. lol This incredibly works!

Are you putting them in the dryer? The dryer is death to those things.
