Could you give me some ideas of fairly easy things that you can make at home to sell? Like, friendship bracelets and stuff like that. Something that doesn't require a lot of skill, nothing too technical, and pretty cheap to make.

Eric, I appreciate what you had to say, and I didn't see anything wrong with what was said in the least bit. It was actually helpful. Although you made me feel a little bad about the age thing, but I'm not a teenager and i feel weird about saying how old I am now. HAHA I'm over 21 though lol. The thing is that I can't work b/c of my back. So I sit in my house all day long and thought that I could do SOMETHING worth while to kill time. The friendship bracelets was just an example since I used to make them when I was younger, and actually a teenager, lol.
Cassandra, you were very helpful as well. Thank you. I appreciate the help.
No worries, I won't be gluing any macaroni to buy a Mercedes anytime soon.

The question to ask is what do people in your area buy. I'm assuming you are still a teenager since you suggested friendship bracelets... So look at what kinds of jewelry and accessories your friends wear? Ask them what they would like to buy. Maybe you could make some beaded jewelry or some small purses or bags. http://www.about.com has some good crafting ideas. Good luck!

There are a tons of things you can make and sell on the internet. The problem is finding the right people to buy them from you. Unless you've already done so, you may want to post this same question to the message board at http://www.wahm.com/forum/. A lot of people on that site make crafts at home and sell them at craft fairs, online, etc. Some are also working for companies that have them make crafts at home, they send them back, and the company pays them for it. A popular business right now is The New England Crafters & Magical Gift Company (http://www.magicalgift.com/). Another company has them making latch hook rugs from home. But you may just want to go to the WAHM site yourself and see if they can help you out. They're pretty good at swapping ideas around too as to what sells best, etc. Good luck!

I agree with Eric, kacky. If this person were asking a question on how to get money without working you'd be telling them to get off their lazy butt and get a job. Too many young kids are like that these days, but this young person wants to start a little business. I for one encourage that greatly. Or are you afraid of the competition?

It works the other way. You would be making something for a long time and realize that your friends and family keep asking you to make some for them. So, you go into business.

To the poster below me, I'm not going to get someone's hopes up that they'll be able to pay for college by glue-ing macaroni.

You've been reported for directly insulting a participant. And I reported you in my most professional manner.
