Have any of you ever sewn pleated drapery panels together? I had to buy 4 (FLORAL) panels to fit my big double window and I need to sew 2 together for each side. My question is: Should I try to completely open the seams on the the side of the panel, then sew them together or just stitch them with the seams left intact? I'm not sure how they will look because I will have sheer curtains behind them. Also how hard is it to seem together the pleats at the top and make them look like they are all one piece of fabric? I'm new to sewing and fell in love with these curtains when I saw them. I hoping with some help I can tackle this project. Thank You for any suggestions.

I'd like to start one, but I don't wanna spend a lot of money. So, my question is, do you just buy normal stamps and wait for their value to raise over the years? Or do you have to buy 'special stamps'?
And how do you store them? Do you just stick them in a notebook?

Why are coins wrapped differently? I have two rolls of G. Washington $1 coins. On one of the rolls, both ends are G.Washington's head. However, on the other roll, one end is his head, the other the Statue of Liberty. Which is more rare? better? and which one do consumers like better (2 heads or 1 head and 1 tails)?

I recently sculpted a huge figure from a white pine log. I used an oil-based walnut stain and was not totally happy with the results ( stain was applied a few days ago). I decided to augment parts of the piece with paint / wash / glaze. I have TONS of acrylic paint - both craft and artist grades - but I don't know if if I can use this over oil stain. Do I need primer? Do I re-sand the areas? Or should I use oil-based paint? I'm mostly interested in a semi-transparant white-wash that will allow some of the dark grain underneath to show through. Any suggestions? THANKS!!

I've been given the responsibility by a family member to take care of 500-600 full stamp sheets from the 60's & 70's. They are currently stored kind of haphazardly in large envelopes that, surprisingly, has kept them in really nice condition. But at this time I'd like to take the time to store them properly for preservation and presentation. Such beautiful stamps should not be kept in hiding. So the question is, where to buy reasonably priced, but archival quality sheet protectors for stamp sheets? One thing I do know is they cannot be a vinyl based product. Thanks!
