It can be difficult as people rarely want to pay enough for handmade items to make it worth your while, I sell knitted hats and when I take off the cost of materials I get paid the equivalent to £3.00 per hour for my work. If you have an independent card or gift shop in your area it is worth taking a well presented sample selection of your cards to them. You will need to present a professional image and have your figures ready. Some shops may be prepared to buy say 40 of your cards direct from you to sell in their shop, some will rent out a small space to you which you will have to pay for regardless of how many of your cards they sell and some will be prepared to offer your card on a 'sale or return' basis and take a percentage of the sale price. If you are able to negotiate a deal make sure that you have it confirmed in writing and ensure that you give and receive receipts for cards that you leave and money that you either pay out or receive.

The girl that does my hair - has handmade items in her salon for sale. She has handmade t-shirts, jewelry, stationery, candles, stained glass, etc. I would suggest checking with some local small salons to see if they would sell your items on consignment or something.
I might also try small boutiques that specialize in women's clothing and/or accessories. Also, local craft galleries exist in some cities.
Good luck.

Hi,
i love making home made cards, and i found the best way to sell them other than ebay was at boots sales and to family and friends. I would leave the cards at my mothers house and any one who visited her would buy them aswell. I just used the money to treat myself to new cardmaking items, as some of the card making items are not cheap to buy. Hop ethis helps, and good luck with selling them.

Well, orgonise your own craft fair! Go to thae councle and rent out the comunity center, you could sell your cards and also charge for tables and entry, so you could make a profit from cards and pay off the rent with the tables and entry!

Take samples to local independently owned gift shops, speak to the owner or manager. You might also try marketing them to businesses in your area, say people who are in sales etc who want a unique way to thank their clients, etc.
