Teach them to play chess. Give them a copy of the Avalon-Hill board game called CIVILIZATION.

One person hides an item the other have to seek it though clues left by the hider.
Box games like Monopoly, Careers, Yahtzee, Clue. Card cames like Uno, Skip Bo or just get a regular deck of cards and play War, Steal the Pack.
Older kids read a story to the younger kids. Find a simple receipe for sugar or oatmeal cookies and bake them.
Create your own receipes and then ask Mom to try them out. Drawing home objects or cutting them out of construction paper.

My son is almost three and here are some of the things he loves to do inside. Play with play-doh, Mr. potatoehead, coloring and decorating the pages with stickers, blowing bubbles, legos, games (like ants in the pants), watch educational tv shows, and he loves to play action figures.

For kids I would suggest board games or card games...but why do that when you have a game console to play. So, I would go with video games.

Mix up some cookie dough and let them have at it cutting out and decorating them. After they are baked, eat them with some hot chocolate for a treat.

depends..... how old are the kids? younger: hide and seek or tag, color,tv. Older : talk, phone, tv, computer?? those are things i cam eup with!!!
