Why or why not? If so, do you also think that the people that worked on the Underground Railroad were involved in “terrorist” acts? How about the groups that liberated people from concentration camps during WW2?

Have you ever been to the ALF’s website and looked at their mission statement? Or are you going off reports from the media?

Thanks!

I have a nephew who ends up in hospital if he eats eggs. (he's only 4) Since I'm in charge of Christmas dinner this year I want to make cookies that all the other kids (mine and numerous cousins who don't have food allergies included) can enjoy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I mean, by what they put in the bread and what they cook the veggies in.
I heard that the sub bread is brushed with some kind of animal fat and the veggies are cooked in something other than vegetarian

I know I can go on websites, but what are some personal recipes? Ones that you guys will make and eat. I'd like to know, because I'm not too keen on tofu and what not. I'm just trying to become a vegetarian. I still eat chicken and fish, but I want to give that up eventually...however, I really love Chinese food....so I'm trying some tofu, to see if I can get the same Chinese flavor, but no meat.

Suggestions?

Myself and my partner are hosting christmas at our house this year & when I spoke to my partners mother she was really happy to have someone else do dinner - I have since asked her to prepare the turkey as I am vegetarian and am a bit paranoid about giving everybody food poisoning - she says she's happy to do it, but have just got a niggle of a doubt - am I selfish or was it better to admit the lack of confidence with meat cooking?

Just curious about those meateater Christians. Why do you feel the need to roast your potatoes in dead geese to celebrate the birth of your God ?

I've got no problem with veggie Christians, you have obviously thought about your care for other creatures.

And i suppose I don't really have a problem with people who rear and slaughter thier own animals giving them a high quality of free life and a quick , pain free, slughter.

But i do think its hypocritical to celebrate the birth of your saviour by supporting the cruelty, pain, abuse and slaughter that is the modern meat processing industry.

No point in quoting "I buy organic", or "free range" to me. I live in the farming community and know its all just hype to charge more for the meat and make meateaters feel better - it has nothing to do with the quality of life of the animal.

me: as an arable farmer I live amongst all this abuse and its worse that you could ever imagine.

oh, and Happy Christmas !

I tried tofu hot dogs in the late 90s and also in 2000 because twice I went veg. Yuck, they were so nasty! XP Have they changed since? Are they tastier now? I bought some soy corn dogs and the soy hot dog tasted good, but I don't know what brand was used. Who here can tell of a tasty brand of soy dogs? I'm trying to go vegan, but need the resources to do so. When we take something away, it needs to be replaced or we'll go right back to the same habits, which I don't wanna do.

Anyone?

Not just salads! Come on you veggies out there, give me some recipes, not just links. I'm beginning to wonder what you're all eating. I want good healthy stuff, not just pre-made freezer foods. For exampe, Linda McCartney makes a Thai pasta with peanuts and mock chicken, where can I get that kind of chicken? Anyone have a recipe for a meal like that?
