It is by far the best meat substitute out there, isn't it? [And no, folks, he doesn't mean 'corn', he means 'quorn', it's been around in the UK for ages but is relatively new on the US market.] The company that makes it explains what it is on their website:

Quorn is made from mycoprotein, which means it's not soy or other vegetable based. It's a type of fungus, like mushrooms.

It is very yummy, I'm happy to see it being sold more in the US.

quorn is a meat substitute, or imitation meat. it uses egg white as a binder, it is not suitable for vegans.
