I mean, by what they put in the bread and what they cook the veggies in.
I heard that the sub bread is brushed with some kind of animal fat and the veggies are cooked in something other than vegetarian

The sub isn't brushed with animal fat unless the person asks for mayo. The vegggies generally aren't cooked, but if they did, it wouldn't be in animal fat. The bread is vegan unless you ask for honey wheat bread.

I'm not sure about Quiznos but I worked in a Subway years ago, the bread is not brushed with anything, and the veggies aren't cooked. If you order a veggie sub it is vegetarian, but like others said not vegan.

im not sure about the bread. but if the veggies are fresh and raw like they are at subway then they are vegetrian. We dont have a quizno's here but i have eaten at one before and i think they also used raw veggies as the mushrooms on my sandwhch were not cooked. so those too would be good for a vegetarian. Now if you are talking aboutthe cooked peppers in the steak sandwiches. those shouldnt matter anyway as they are cooked in meat for a meat sandwich .

Get a 1-800 number or something and call their Customer Service to find out. The veggies at our Subway are raw.

Okay, well maybe not "vegan" but they are vegetarian. There is a big difference in Vegan and Vegetarian and there are different types of vegetarians.

If you are that concerned about it ask at the Subway or go on line to the corporate Subway and submit a question to them.

well thats vegan. vegetarian means that there is no meat. which there isnt in veggie subs. However, i would highly doubt that they are vegan, which means taht they wont eat anything that is touched by animal fat or cooked in animal oils or anything like that

Subway is chinsy with their food, Quizno's is the way to go. As for the fat, I would instigate that on either resturant chains' websites.

They can get sued if they cook vegetarian food in anything of animal fat, I don't believe this is true.
