Does anyone know?

I saw someone cook veggie hot dogs once and they got blisters on them that looked like zits.

What is in a veggie hot dog?

Hi,

A veggie burger and hot dog are both made of soy byproduct and high protein such as beans and are made to the consistency of the read thing. Is very good for you and very tasty. Try one and bet you cannot tell the difference, except they do not have that greasy meat taste.

Even cooking regular hot dogs will produce the blister effect, it is the skin poping up when heat is applied, as in roasting over an open fire.

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

Most veggie meats are made with tofu. Tofu comes from soybeans. It's very rich in protein, so it's as meaty as vegetables come. It's also very light tasting, so it's wide open for other flavors to be added to it. In the case of hot dogs, they would add lots of hot dog flavorings to it. I've had veggie foods before. They're decent. I would eat them on a regular basis, but they cost more to make than their real-life counterparts.

A "veggie" burger or something like that is made of vegetables that have lots of protein, like beans. Usually veggie burgers and those kinds of things have soy products and bean products. If im not right, check the ingredients label.

A veggie dog is usually made with carrots.
The commercial variety sometimes uses onion skin or veggie gelatin! A few use regular gelatin read the label! Best make your own with carrots U buy...just soak in soya sauce or kelp sauce and boil till tender.
Beets use to make fake bologna soak thinly sliced beets in soya sauce or kelp sauce and fry in oil!
Veggie Burgers are often made with Veggies.
Soya burgers are made with soya.
Kelp burgers are made with kelp
For either Soya or Kelp Burgers Use Soya or Kelp Sauce and Pumpkin, Oatmeal, Wheat Germ. Mix together. Use like regular hamburger add dice onions if U wish! Make fake meat balls or fake meat patties if U want!
Or a fake meat loaf!

A veggie burger is a mixture of vegetables that are chopped up and pressed into a burger shaped bundle. I make my own using carrots, onions, garlic, green and red peppers, cucumber, eggplant and celery. You can actually make them in any combination of ingredients, to your taste. A veggie dog is basically the same, but you put them into some type of skin or wrapping.....KECK

Veggie burger- really depends on the company. Basically it's a whole load of vegetable crap made into the shape of a piece of meat. It doesn't taste like meat- it isn't supposed to. Carrots, broccoli, spinach, and crusty stuff in between.
Hot dog- never had one, but that sounds nastay.
XD

Any combination of soy protein, wheat gluten, liquid smoke, cheese (in non-vegan burgers), mushrooms, oats, rice, etc. You get the idea. Some focus heavily on the soy and wheat protein to get the texture of meat. Some focus on the other ingredients to get a burger that's more unique in flavor.

Hey Daver, what the hell is a "lettus burger"? Never had one and never seen one. They don't exist.

it is a burger where the meat protein has been replaced by soy protein and flavors. Veggie hot dog is the same principle.

Vegetables and soy. They are quite tasty.
Veggie dogs, on the other hand, are nasty.
