Honey in was much, much more chewier and did not raise as much as the first one.

Why?

Did the honey impede the yeast from rising or what?

The same flours and proportions were used in both recepies and the only difference was basically the Honey.

I watch all these cooking programs on tv and the chef always say it's comfort food at some point in the program. They seem to say it for any dish they create! Also they say it's a simple dish, when it's not simple!..anyway that's another story.
