YES! you can get them in a tin, or you did, I tried them years ago, I bought them from the CO-OP, And they weren't very nice ,they were really soggy. I prefer fresh one's. "I hope you meant brussel sprouts"

The whole purpose of sprouts is to eat them live for the enzymes they produce. To tin them would kill the very enzymes you need. You CAN get tinned mung bean sprouts, but they are devoid of nutrition. I grow sprouts easily at home every day. I sprout alfalfa, mung, fennungreek, yellow and green pea, chickpea, radish, brocolli, clover, sunflower seed, almonds, etc. They are a huge part of my vegetarian diet. They are super easy to grow-you can harvest a crop within 2 or 3 days. I keep three trays on the go at all times. Its a fun and nourishing hobby. I call it my fingertip garden

Sprouts are a lovely veg and can be cooked with many items and flavourings. But they absorb water, so it would be hard to tin sprouts and allow them to keep there flavour and goodness.

I suppose anything of the cabbage family does not taste so nice coming out of a tin, therefore it is not manufactured.

As sprouts taste best if they have had some frost while outside, they do taste delicious from the frozen food department.

Sprouts, as lovely as they are, do have a rather pungent odour (not quite as bad as cabbage) even when cooked fresh so just think how odiferous they would be semi-cooked and housed in an airless sealed container for months on end. If they do not kill you when wielding the can opener they sure as _ell will when they have been processed & emitted by your own bodily functions. Absolutely delicious.
