Just off the bat, I would say pizza. But a spaghetti dinner can be made to be more "elaborate"... if you make the meatballs right... and have some good garlic bread... and a nice salad. (Maybe even a nice bottle of wine.)
So... pizza over spaghetti... but pizza is usually eaten alone, with no 'fixins.

why choose? It's possible to make a pizza with spaghetti on it, I've done it before. Kind of a deep dish pizza/baked spaghetti combo. Put the crust down, add sauce, add spaghetti, add seasoned ground beef, top with more sauce, then pile on the cheese and bake. It's even better if you season the crust with some Italian seasonings and garlic.

Spaghetti! There a so many different ways that you can make spaghetti, as well as, the different varieties you can purchase from the store. A favorite of mine is spaghetti with Italian sausages and mushrooms. Spaghetti is also fun to eat, even the kids love it with all of its various shapes. You can eat it long stringed or you can have fun and wrap it around your fork. A spaghetti dinner is also very romantic. Just think of it. Candle-lights. Quiet music. Spaghetti.

pizza all the way spaghetti is so nasty its not even funny. and there is more choices of pizza there is only one kind of spaghetti
