No. Larger grocery stores offer this service but I actually like grocery shopping...

If you are thinking of this to start a business, it might work. I am sure there are people that hate shopping, can't get out due to surgery or age or illness or people that are just plain lazy!

No. Shopping is a kind of therapy for me. It allows me to get away from my deadlines and all those very serious work-related issues to do something which is comparitively mindless - e.g. 'Will I buy coffee this week ?' 'Is this item really a good deal or have I been sucked in?' etc. It also allows me to meet people unexpectedly , like when in a mindless trance I allow my trolley to rear end a fellow shopper. What is more human than a heart rendering apology. I can also impress the check out girl with my maths as I fumble for the right denominations to allow her to give the most convenient change. Why should I pay someone to do something which allows me so much meaningful human contact.

No - I prefer to go grocery shopping myself.

It not only provides me with much needed exercise by walking up and down the aisles but I get to exercise my own judgment as to which size can, bottle, bag or whatever that I want to buy for the best price.

Also it helps to remind me of something that I may have inadvertently left off of my shopping list.

We had a store here in Florida that offered this service for a real small fee - it was a complete flop despite it did provide excellent service to the older folks who could not get to the stores regularly to do their grocery shopping.

I already pay Safeway $9.95 whenever I feel too lazy to go to the store or I'm up too early before they open. I've always thought this would be a great idea for smaller towns that don't have that option. In fact I thought about starting up something like that once. The people I'd be advertising for would mainly be elderly or shut-ins, but anybody would be welcome to call. Plus, the elderly like to see a smiling face once in a while if they can't get out much. I thought it would be a really good idea.

I personally wouldn't but I like to grocery shop. There are lots of people who gladly would though. I would think a great customer base for something like that would be busy executives as it would free up their time or the sick or elderly (where getting out and doing the shopping may be problematic). New moms may also be a good target group as many don't want to take the babies out into crowded places or may simply be too tired.

Yes - I did this when I had had surgery and small children at home. It worked out great and I received what I paid for. It was great!

Why so, I have enough time to buy my groceries myself.

No I wouldn't. We could have done Peapod but we weren't interested.
