Yes i definitely agree with the nutella ^ !
But I also like bacon on top of toasted bagel or you can toast the bagel really crisp, spread some tomato sauce/puree on top, grate some cheese over it, salt, pepper and herbs and pop it under the grill for about 3mins til cheese melts, giving you a tasty quick pizza.

We make pizza bagels. spread some pizza sauce on the bagel, genuine with pepperoni slices, upload some cheddar and Parmesan cheese and seasoning, then position lower than the broiler for 4 minutes.

my favorite is unsalted butter and Swiss cheese ...
and the next level up is to put some Westphalian ham on that ....

also if it is toasted, put some tunafish, mayo and some onion and celery bits on each side of the bagel and eat it as an open sandwich

in addition, you can slice bagels into rounds and put them on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven ..... bagel chips .... they are terrific and useful .... store well ...

you can spread a herb butter on the bagel chips before you toast them and then toast them... (butter, pepper, dry basil & thyme, a shake of garlic powder or use fresh garlic) ... good snack, good hors d'oeuvre ......
