There used to be such a thing. I remember it from the 80's, but I cannot remember what it was called and I'm trying to find out if it still exists.

I'm under the impression that if you have some frozen bacon, thaw it in the microwave, cook a couple pieces and put the rest of the pack in the fridge, the rest will all quickly go bad because the microwave partially cooked them.

Because of this, whenever I thaw some bacon in the microwave, I fry up the whole pack. Unfortunately, there's so much that much of it often goes to waste.

Am I doing things right? Can I just take the thawed pack and put it in the fridge without worries?
