The Asians consume lots of rice. am just wondering ..... do people wash the rice (rubbing it with the palms till the water turns milky) and rinse once/twice before cooking ? Is this necessary?

realised that the bill was wrong on reciept after i checked with calculator. would u go bck and tell em? coz of clubcard and coupons and everything, loads of ppl complained that the bill dont wrk out right in end taking money off frm coupons too. owt would u do?

It comes in a round tin (about the size of a can of coca-cola).
The nougats are each wrapped in silver foil which can be unwrapped easily.
After the foil wrapping, there's a thin wrapping which looks like paper but melts in your mouth.
Mixed with the nougat are bits of nuts (I forgot what type) and bits of soft red jelly.
Please tell me the brand!

the check is for, say.....$9.38, you hand him/her a $20.00 and they ask "do you want your change back?". to me, that is asking for a tip, when i was a server, i never asked if they wanted their change back, i always just placed thewir change on a tip tray and sat it with their receipt on the table, and usaully ended up with more than 20%. do you find this "subliminal begging" to be lacking of tact?

have heard this from servers in restaurants at holiday or any special event time, and does it irritate you and make you not want to leave a tip....""server saying to guest": "oh i only need $50.00 more dollars and i wil have my kids' "cristmas"/"birthday"/"report card day"/ gifts paid for". reason i ask, is i hear it everywhere we go during holidays etc, from servers and if we happen to go several times before the "event" and see the same server, it is the same thing..."patron to server": how are you?", "server to patron": "shoo, i'm tired, working a lot, just have $50.00 to go til i have my kids's gifts paid for". is this what you want to hear when you go out to eat?

I'm told that I would probably only find them in Asian stores, but only canned. Also, I read in other answers for other people that the fruit by itself is probably not available in the U.S. by itself. So, does anyone know of a specific canned product, like the name of it? I want to taste the fruit itself even if it's canned, not just the juice. I can get that at the Vitamin Shoppe and I've never even bought it. Way too expensive.

I like the taste of coffee, regular or decaf. I've read in many articles that coffee has 100 times more antioxidants than Green Tea. Only problem is, I don't much like tea unless it's sweetened like hell. I can drink coffee black though unlike tea w/ no milk/lemon or sugar/honey. So, I just want to know if decaf has just as many antioxidants as regular.
