Since I'm a vegetarian, I derive my protein from sources other than meat. I can't stand nuts, but I found that I like pecans. I usually mix them with cranberries or other dried fruit for some sweetness. I've been told that this snack is pretty healthy, but I was searching around the net and haven't found a clear answer. If anyone has any experience as a dietician or health professional, could you tell me how good of a snack it is or it isn't? I'm trying to lose some weight as well, so if this is really fatty or anything, please let me know. Thanks!!!

My girlfriend, and I; we spend ever Sunday together. She cooks a big meal, and then we sit by the pool, or read together, or something quiet. But the last few weeks after dinner, I have not been able to enjoy her company as I have been feeling very sick. I have a burning pain in my stomach, and I feel like I’m going to throw up, and have diarrhea. Could I have an allergy to something she uses in the food? And how would I find out if I did? I’m normally very healthy, so what could be wrong with me?

An old wives tale indicates that after eating heavy meals people shouldn't shower or bathe immediately, is this true? If so, how long should a person wait?

It's the size of a small rice cooker/crockpot for making cordials such as raspberry, blackberry, anise, etc. Don Vier (Cordially
yours) does not make them anymore. We've gone to Goodwill, Salvation Army, antique shops and garage sales and cannot find them. We've even searched the net and ebay but couldn't find anything. We do make ours without a machine, but the machine only takes 8 - 9 hours then you can bottle it.
