Aha, i feel a sense of purpose here, as an Englishman who works on the American cruise liners, have done for 17 years, i feel that i should have some authority to answer, my answer is that both kinds of cuisine are crap, the only difference is that the Americans eat more of theirs than we do of ours, see simple really !!!!!!!

Probably not much help, but as an American in England a few years back, I found very little that I liked. In fact the best way I know of for an American to lose weight is to go to England.
One thing though that is common in England but much less so here is the Indian food found there. Some of the desserts are good. I ended up going fish and chips alot. Another tip is Americans typically use more ice cubes than you English have ever imagined, so stock up on ice. Good luck.

The English over-cook vegetables terribly, don't know anything but boiling. Their meat is dry and tasteless. As for Americans being fat in a great many cases it's because they eat a lot of fast food and junk food because are too lazy to cook these days.
