We eat them all the time. We raise Araucanian(sp) chickens and they lay green - sometimes blue/green eggs. They are supposed to be lower in cholesterol but I'm not really 100% sure about that. However, because i know what I feed our chickens and our eggs are fresh - they have to be better for you.

I am assuming you mean an egg with a slightly greenish shell.
The earlobes of the chicken dictate the color of the shell (white ear lobes = white eggs; red earlobes = brown eggs).
An Aracona chicken lays green shelled eggs.
The only advantage to brown or green eggs is that they are usually fresher as most farms will only sell them locally. However, recently many stores will sell brown eggs that are from chickens raised on the same cheap, bland diet that white egg laying chickens are raised on; and they still sell them at a higher price. Brown eggs were, at one time, only sold locally and were from free ranging chickens that had a much richer diet, and were larger than white egg layers. Therefore, the brown eggs were more nutritious and cost more. In today's markets there is only the color difference between brown and white eggs. I don't know if there is any difference in the green eggs.
Below are a couple sites I hope will help. One deals with incubation of eggs and is where I got the information above. The other has general information about chickens and eggs.

Yup. No, they aren't any better or any worse. The color of the shell just depends on the chicken who laid it. Some varieties lay specific colors. My aunt's chickens lay green eggs.

Sure, there are breeds of chickens that lay light green, olive green, pale pink and pale blue eggs. They are from Chili named Araucanas.
