Hi, I used to go out with an Indian guy and spent many happy times around his families dining room table. The food his mother cooked was wonderful. I have never been able to replicate it and Indian restaurants do not give home cooked food. Please could I have recipies made in normal Indian family homes.
Thank you very much.

I'm talking about curry, korma, nan, tandori chicken, and other stuff like that. Is that "everyday" food, or food for special occasions?

Anyone actually make Kulfi / Ice Cream?

Please don't tell me that Kulfi is Indian Ice Cream. That doesn't answer the question and is not accurate.

Also, please don't cut and paste from Wikipedia - I've read the very short article in there. I would like to hear from people with personal knowledge.

I've just learned how to make naan bread and chapatis--what can I cook to go with them? The easier, the better! And preferably, dishes that aren't spicy.

Thanks in advance!
