I'm Italian & love, love, love Italian food. I'm always looking for a great Italian recipe. Do you have any to share? I'm looking for actual recipes, not your favorite Italian foods. Please share if you have a tasty one.

I am making Thai food and one of the ingredients calls for coriander root. I couldn't find it in the produce section or Asian foods isle at Ralphs. All I could find is ground coriander. Does anyone know where I can buy this ingredient or if there are any Thai markets in San Diego? Thanks.

I had it in China and loved it. The recipes I've found don't tell me anything about the oil I had it in. The oil itself was red with peppercorns and whole pepper in it and very spicy. I'm vegan so I don't need to know about meat. I dipped a different kind of tofu in it though, it wasn't silken or the kind in the fridge at the grocery store but porous, textured yet firm enough to handle being dropped into the hot oil. The sauce was amazing. In a dish we put some kind of flavorful oil, soy sauce, salt, and scallions maybe something else too.

What are some of the weirdest cross-ethnic restaurants you've heard of?

For example, a Chinese-ran burger joint, or a Mexican-ran Italian restaurant, etc.

Hi, my son, (4th grader), has to do a project where they research a country, do a report, and then make a dish to serve to the kids in the school..He was given the country India...I found that mangos are the fruit for that country...thought about serving mango ice cream...thinking that all kids love ice cream!! Would this be an acceptable dish, or do any of you have any other suggestions??
