What's everyone's favorite type of candy that isn't made in the U.S.? I'd prefer suggestions of obscure ones that would be interesting to try. My personal favorite is the kinder "bueno" bar.

I have so many! I really like the originality and flavor of Japanese candy; I mean, who can resist Pocky! I also like South American spicy chocolate and the soothing feeling one gets when they eat a European chocolate. Even though Japanese candy and European/South American chocolate represent a tough challenge, my favorite candy of all time is Mexican tamarind candy!

Greek "Sokofreta".....its a delicious wafered chocolate with crispy stuff....mmmm....actually now comes in dark and milk chocolate variety. Really good in the summer if you refrigerate it (except if you are like my husband and cannot stand refrigerated chocolate). Anyway....you can find this at Greek import stores. I have been to other import stores (Arabic actually) and they do not carry them. Usually sold individually (large bars) or in bags (bite size). Wrapper is metallic/shiny. Contents---MMMMMM!!!!

Tamarind candy paste in a little plastic plunger/dispenser. don't know the brand, but the candy is sour, burns the tongue and is highly addictive.

Have you tried indonesian's Garuda Food Ting Ting? It's not candy and it's not biscuit. it's made from peanuts. It shaped and tasted like a candy.

Toblerone or Ritter Sport.

Ritter Sport makes a chocolate that has rum soaked raisins in it. Unfortunately I have never been able to find this in the US.
