The key factors about M& S food and what makes them different from other supermarkets are these.
They do not sell any products which contain GM ingredients.
They concentrate on selling as much in season food as possible
They support fair trade growers
Their wine section is particularly good and contains an excellent choice at good prices.
However overall I would find them more expensive than other supermarkets and would like to see a butchers/fresh meat counter and fresh fish counter to make me shop there more often

Their food is more appetising on telly than in the reality of its tasting, so I'd go for the words:
Smooth-talking, sexually-driven, innuendo, glossy, and visually manipulative. In every sense of the word it's tasteless.
