I wouldn't say either one was better, but it all depends on your mood.

I've been doing a LOT of Indian cooking lately, and can't think of the last time I sat in an Italian restaurant (pizzerias don't count). I'm just on an Indian kick right now. Still, I love BOTH cuisines.

Depends on the mood. I love both. Italian is a cuisine that you can make a home easily and simply and eating out you can get good choices in many restaurants. Indian restaurants are more rare. I would say if you know where a really good one is, settle in for the evening and enjoy. Lassi, chai and all....

hi

Your answer can be based on 2 things.
1. Are you planning to cook for someone?
2. Or are you planning to go out and eat?

1. If you are planning to go out and eat, then you can go by your or group preference. Or If you haven't tasted Indian before and the rest of the group has, and it's the liking of the group then Indian will be worth a try. It is spicy but not as spicy as people think. If you are planning to enjoy and relax, have soup, wine and bread and go on to a non-spicy meal, then Italian will be a good choice.

2. If you are planning to cook then try some non-spicy and quick cooking Inidan Food. Check this blog out for a non-spicy Indian Dish. Paneer shahi. It is flavorful and something like ricotta cheese served in marinanra sauce. There are other dishes which will suit to your taste. Non Spicy or less spicy. Serve them will Naan or CHAPATI'S OR Herb Rice.

Its not a case that one is better than another.
But if you are considering this as a choice when planning to cook for someone else then Italian is your safer bet of for no other reason than there are many out there who positively dislike Indian food because it is too spicy.Whereas if go the Italian route any guest will at least enjoy parts if not all of the meal.

All personal choice. I prefer to have Italian. Not too fond of the Indian food seasonings.

Indian, in my opinion. The naan bread is to die for, and they have a better variety of tastes than Italian food does. Spicy, not spicy, sweet--whatever you like. From my experience, people either love or hate indian food. I first had it when I visited England, and I LOVED it. It's so different from American food, so it's fun if you want something different. It's healthy, too!

They are both so good! And totally different. I think of Italian as a little less adventerous. A good Indian dish to try if you are new to it is Tikka Masala. Creamy goodness.

Well, you can go for either of them, of course.

Which is "better"? Depends on what you mean by the word. But Italian cuisines, from the Alps of Aoesta and the Alto Adiage to Sicilian Palermo and all between has far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far, far more variety.
