Anyone actually make Kulfi / Ice Cream?

Please don't tell me that Kulfi is Indian Ice Cream. That doesn't answer the question and is not accurate.

Also, please don't cut and paste from Wikipedia - I've read the very short article in there. I would like to hear from people with personal knowledge.

It uses condensed milk like the Carnation brand, thickened with rice flour, scented with saffron and rose water, is not a creamy as North American ice creams more like Italian Gelato.

When they serve it, it is generally served like a sundae, in a dish with rose syrup, vermicelli soaked in sugar syrup and a dusting of nuts, cashews, pistachios or almonds. It is realtively easy to make and can be done in one day, I make it when I have a gourmet Indian dinner for friends, I was chef in Canada for 20 yrs and have had alot of experience with Asian and Indian foods and cooking.

kulfi is basically frozen milk with spices, it has no eggs.

western ice cream contains eggs, so the texture & flavor are different than kulfi.

Falooda is the sundae dessert with vermicelli, if you add kulfi it's called falooda kulfi.
