any ideas? I live in Rural South Carolina and don't have access to the big ethnic stores that say a city like Atlanta has - so what can I make with what I can buy at a regular supermarket and still have that Morrocan flavor?

I like the texture of the sticky rice (yes, I like them sticky, not fluffy), just like the kind in the Chinese Dim Sum (the rice wrapped in a leaf). So I bought a bag of sweet rice (glutenous rice). But it doesn't have instructions. What is the proportion for rice:water if I want to cook in a rice cooker? Also, would the proportion be different if I use brown sweet rice?

I went to this Mexican restaurant in downtown Dallas that advertised itself as having "Oaxacan" cuisine (weird cuz the name is not pronounced that way). There weren't any tacos or burritos on the menu, and the servers got pretty upset when we kept pressing them about it. They were saying that we should try this stuff called molay, which is made of chocolate (on top of chicken???) I just thought that sounded pretty gross so we went up and left, then went to El Torito for some real mexican food. What the hecks up with this???

I don't mean just the boring old "chicken in green/red/yellow sauce with rice boiled to death" stuff which seems to be the default.
Who likes more authentic and tasty (but often harder to find) meals like beef massuman or pad see el etc.
Home made or at a decent Thai restaurant.

What would you drink with it?

Hi!

You used to be able to buy these at Tesco's, but in true retail tradition, they decided to stop selling the good stuff!

Does anyone know where in the UK they stock these gorgeous delicacies?

I was watching "Take Home Chef" on TLC and the shopper said cilantro and Curtis said "In Australia it's corriander." Needless to say, now I'm confused.

I bought
some juwar flour (also labelled as sorghum flour) but can't seem
to make a dough. The packet says to add cold water and knead,
but mine always ends up crumbly, not like a dough at all. What
am I doing wrong?
