I was travelling with a bunch of americans and they insisted that one does not need to tip in London? I disagreed but i did not know for sure! Do you tip in Europe? Is it the same as in the west ...15-20%?

i have had tapas before but i'm going to be serving them and i don't know exactly how to describe them and explain what they are, except,"well, they're tapas." can anyone give me a definition that i can describe tapas with?

Ok it’s usually sold with other sushi, all it looks to me is a brown wrapping, at the bottom you can see the white rice, and a couple of black sesame seeds. It’s really sweet. What is it called and what’s the brown wrapping around it (it’s from soy right?)?

It’s SO good I LOVE IT!

My husband and I recently indulged in a hispanic delecacy I had never heard of until now. It consisted of corn on the cob, mayo, butter and a grated white cheese. I know it wasn't parmesan, and I asked the young senorita what it was, but...I couldn't understand her and didn't want to embarrass or insult her. So...what was it?

I keep calling Vegan / Vegetarian sushi, sushi (but techically sushi means raw fish doesn't it?)
By BF sometime calls them California Rolls but I think it’s not always appropriate due to most California Rolls aren’t wrapped the same way as sushi is, so I think there’s more of a difference then just the fact that California Rolls usually don’t have fish in them.
I could be tottally wrong, just help me out here ppl!
Thanks :)

I just tasted crocodile at a Brazilian bbq restaurant and loved it. I would love to grill it here at home. Does anyone know where I can buy it and do you have any recipes?

When I was in Angers, France a few years back, I had this crepe like thing called a Galette, and people told me it was made with buckwheat flour (mine was stuffed with ham, cheese, and I think something like a marinara sauce). I have searched for a recipe (including at foodnetwork.com), and also for a restaurant serving them, but the American version is something totally different. Hopefully someone will know the right recipe!
