Ok, in Myanmar, I saw on my plate these little green onion slices. Turns out they were not onions. They were peppers. Three of these tiny slices was enough to make my mouth hurt that I could eat no more, and even my ears were burning. My translator said it is an indian fruit, and even the indians (known for spicy food) think it's very hot. It was smoother, rounder, longer, skinnier, than a habanero... maybe it's habenero, but I'm pretty sure not. I think they show these fruits in the movie Vanity Fair with Reese Witherspoon, when she eats the spicy food. Any idea what pepper this was????? I'm very curious.
