alot of white peope like rap but not much black people like rock.

I'm not black, I'm mixed, but I ONLY like rock music. I know loads of black people who like rock music (punk, metal, alt. rock.... all sorts). Obviously, there are not quite as many as white people, but it seems that as society becomes more equal, the barriers and stereotypes which affected minorities are being broken down and a black person listening to rock music is not a big deal at all these days.
I don't know where you are, but I'm from London. I know that Britain as a whole, but particularly London, is less racially conservative than the US. At least in my experience. But my experience of the US amounts to only a few months in NC and Florida.

I'm 26 and i've just started listening to some of it. Years before I wouldn't have touched it with a 10 ft pole, but now that the rap industry is caving i've been expanding my tastes.
It's really strange because now I find myself listening to Rage Against the Machine, Metallica, Green Day ect
I still mostly listen to rap though
