I would like to try a stir fry recipe for 'Chinese Chicken Rice.' The recipe calls for cooking the chicken strips in 2 Tbsp of sunflower oil. Can I use peanut oil instead, since that is what I have on hand? If so, how will the peanut oil affect the cooking process and flavor?

A few months ago I ate like lamb tenderloin or something like that with tamarindo sauce and rice, but the rice was kinda sticky and a little bit sweet. it was really good and I wish I knew the recipe, maybe you have an idea of what I'm talking about?

My daughter is, unfortunately, not involved with this part of her family. Growing up my grandmothers cooking was a big part of our families life. I would like to share this tradition with her including all of her roots. Do you have any good recipes from these countries to share with me?

I have a molcajete and would love to use it, but it never stops crumbling. Are there any websites where I can purchase one that doesn't crumble? If they're all supposed to crumble, for now long must it crumble before it can actually be used? If this one doesn't stop, I'm throwing it away.

Back when I used to live in Michigan, I tried various different brands, because I could not find a store that carried Maruchan Ramen.
I noticed that The Kroger (store brand) was the cheapest, sometimes you could get three packages for a penny. Until I actually tried it, it was totally VILE ! ! !
The soup base was really bland, even if you used five packets to make one package of ramen, it was still really really bad. The noodles were especially awful, way too spongy and always tasted over cooked, if it had any flavor at all.

Does anyone else think that particular Kroger product should be discontinued?

I even tried giving it to a stray dog that looked starved, it sniffed it and just peeed on it then walked away.

That was my worst culinary memory of living in Michigan.
