I have a molcajete and would love to use it, but it never stops crumbling. Are there any websites where I can purchase one that doesn't crumble? If they're all supposed to crumble, for now long must it crumble before it can actually be used? If this one doesn't stop, I'm throwing it away.

I really don't think that they are supposed to do that. Get a granite one. You can pick them up cheap from an asian supermarket or emporium.

You need to crush something that is hard. I used rice. You have to crush and crush it until you have crushed it alongside the entire inside. It is very tedious, but it will stop crumbling. Make sure you wash it well before you use it. Good luck!

You probably bought a cheap imitation. Good luck on finding a real one.
