I'm from Jogja, the specilaty food is Gudeg, it is a kind of jackfruit cookings.The taste is sweet and tasty!

I'm from Lancaster County Pennsylvania and from German Mennonite/Amish descent. Some of the local dishes are Shoo-fly Pie, Pot Pie (nothing like what you typically buy in the store), Ham, green beans, and potatoes, pig stomach, Mince meat pie.

ME? I love sour water-based soup. It's healthy and yummy. It's a favorite in Cambodia. But I like just about all sorts of food from other countries and Americanized ethnic foods as well.

BBQ- When you say BBQ here in the Midwest, Think smoked ribs , brisket and burnt ends.
I've lived on the east coast & the south east.....There is no comparison to midwestern BBQ. Don't get me wrong each regional style of BBQ is awesome but Midwestern style is the best.

I second mystic master 3's oz menu, and also not forgetting prawns on the barbie....washed down with a cask of red.

But I love food from any country, although I WON'T eat dog!!!!!

My ancestors came from Germany, Polland and Czechoslovakia. My grandmother makes Kolachis. They are a pastry with apricot and plum filling traditionally. My other grandmother makes kringles too. Both are great breakfast foods.
