Beer, Wine & Spirits - September 2007

I want a wine that has no added preservitives, something healthy that will benifit my health like how wine used to be. Something where I can have a glass or two at night and not feel crummy. Not too expensive but not cheap. I do not know much about wine yet, I am an aspiring conisseur. White or red.

Same with beer, something without added sugar or preservatives, but light in flavor...A good beer.

Crack is like, a whole lot worse than alcohol but I don't have to show I.D. when I buy it. It's a weird world isn't it.

We have several large bottles of alcohol-vodka, tequila, rum, whiskey, etc... Some have been opened but closed up, and others are still sealed-what is the shelf life? Do they go bad? We have had them all for about 5-6 years.

More power to anybody who drinks, but I usually choose not to. I get criticized all the time about my choice in being straight edge. Okay, some could understand that I don't want to smoke or do drugs, and believe me, they agree with me on those, but some of my peers don't respect the fact that I don't drink at all. Some even find it surprising when I have mentioned that I never actually had a drink in my life. Never really wanted to either. Only thing closest to me having a drink was taking a sip of when I was a little kid, but I was curious. What is this so called "social rule" that applies to alcohol? I turned 21 last month, and rejected alcohol everytime someone tried offering me. Like when I went to an Indian casino, my sister offered to by me a drink. I refused. Same with the following day, at a birthday party, my cousin, my uncles, and others were saying "Serve a shot for him" or "Want a beer?" and I rejected. Some tell me to not knock it until I try it, but I don't want to try.

I would like to serve something execeptionally sophisticated to compliment the lobster and caviar I'm serving. Since these people have particularly distinguished palates, I was thinking Strawberry Mad Dog 20/20 would be an impressive choice.

What do you think?
