Jägermeister is a 70-proof (35%) liqueur flavored with herbs.
Anise is only one of the 56 herbs used but it gives the liqueur a mild licorice flavor.

The product is widely used as an alcoholic "shooter" and is served in many American bars today very cold.

There are approximately 86 herbs and spices used to make it. It is considered a "hard" liquor. It used to be used medisonaly but now is consumed as a shot useually. It is similar in flavor as bitters.

It is considered a hard liquor, or even a cordial, and has a black licorice flavor. It happens to be half of my favorite shot which is a Bull Blaster (or Jager Bomb) made with Jager and Red Bull. Highly recommend it if you want to test out Jager.

Jagermeister is an herbal liquor of very distinct taste. I have found that most people either hate it, or love it.

It's gross, but if you still want it go to any liquor store & you will find it-it is not a specialty item!
