ive never really drunk wine before, but i have stopped smoking so i need to avoid beer as there is an association of beer n fags together. So do i drink a glass every night, what sort do i drink, white or rose (i dont like red), and any other wine advice please xx

When cleaning out an old house, I came across some older unopened bottles of whiskey. They are common brands like J&B, Dewar's, Jameson, and Glenfiddich. I'm curious to find out how old they are. Many of them have paper bottle stamps across the top, some of which are marked "Bureau of ATF" and others marked "US Internal Revenue". I can't find anything on any of the bottles which is easily identified as a date, though there are some numbers along the side of the bottle stamps which look suspiciously like a 2-digit year along with other information (like "NY - I - 68" or "Import No. 4 - I -75"). Does anyone know when these bottle stamps were used? Any idea of how to tell how old the unstamped bottles might be?

I have this weird fasination with reading the drink menu at restaurants (its weird because im not of age yet so im just looking at all the different martinis and cocktails)
anyways, i remember seeing a chocolate martini (or cocktail) but i dont remember what restaurant had it!! my sister thinks it may have been Ruby Tuesday but we're not sure and my 21st bday is coming up and id really like to try this out!!
So, my question is What restaurant serves a chocolate martini or cocktail??

I'm making a risotto milanese. The recipe specifies I should use a dry white wine. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what kind of wine specifically I should get? I never drink white wines and so I'm white wine clueless! I don't want to spend a whole lot of money; I'm cooking with it, after all. Any advice is great!
