Is it your responsibility to figure out how to not get pulled over and get a DUI or is there some beer tester wing men on call to drive you around?

Um.. A beer taster does, in fact swallow the beer. Usually at a competition, a taster only judges one catagory. There are many judges that need to get a judging in to keep their certification current. When judging, only a few sips of each beer is taken. If the judge gets tipsy, they get a ride. No respectable beer judge would drive drunk.

If needed they usually have someone drive them home. But normally they dont actually drink all that beer lol they just tasted it and then spit it out.

Interesting question. In beer testing/tasting much like wine you aren't supposed to actually swallow. You smell the beer, sip it and swirl it around in your mouth before spitting it out.
