I was curious as to how the pressure of champagne and seltzer water compare. I need to test a device intended for champagne bottles but am planning to simulate the pressure that causes the cork to pop out of the bottle using seltzer water. How should I increase the pressure within the bottle of seltzer water so it approaches that of champagne (heating, shaking, etc.)

Additionally, I plan to reuse the same bottle. I.e. I'd do a trial uncorking, pour in more seltzer water, recork, and do the test again. How does that affect the force with which the cork comes out (the recorking and reusing versus using a new bottle every time?)

We used to play this board game while drinking called Puke and Rally. I have looked everywhere for it and can't seem to find it. Not many people have heard of it. Have you and if so, where can I find it??

The bottle label reads:
Cruse & Fils Freres, 1962, Saint Julien Cruse, Appellation Saint-Julien Controlee, Red Bordeaux Wine, The Jos. Garneau Co., New York, N.Y.
It also says across the label in red letters (bottom left to upper right) MIS EN BOUTEILLES DANS NOS CHAIS.
The cap has the imprint G-463 on the side and an emblem saying VIN OF BORDEAUX.
The bottle has a wire netting over it, top to bottom, with a leaded lock on the bottom.
The bottle also says SOLE DISTRIBUTORS FOR THE UNITED STATES and PRODUCT OF FRANCE, 11.5% ALCOHOL, 1 PINT, 9 FLUID OUNCES.
The very top of the label reads:
CRUSE & FILS FRERES, NEGOCIANTS A BORDEAUX (GIRONDE)

I'd like to keep a bottle of wine in the refrigerator to drink a glass with supper each evening. I'm not overly picky on sweet or dry, I've enjoyed both, but usually prefer something in between.

I'm trying to develop a list to try over the course of the next year, a new one each week. I've read some of the suggestions from other questions, but no one really narrowed down a price or location to what I want.

Thanks for the assistance.

Why does drinking alcohol with a straw get you intoxicated faster? And more straws increases that rate?

I've come to find that so many people are pretty stupid when it comes to beer. It's kind of driving me crazy. You got the people who like MGD/Budweiser and anything with the consistency of water and zero flavor. Then you got the people who like only imported beer (regardless of good or bad) and diss American beers. These same people assume any beer American is a crappy beer and have never heard of such micro-breweries such as Dogfishhead, Anchor Steam, Bell's, or many others. Then you've got you're level-headed people such as myself who think that any good tasting beer, regardless of the country it was produced in, is good. Don't get me wrong, there's a place and a time even for cheaper beer. Sometimes cheap beer is more cost-efficient when having a party. I love imported beers too. My favorite beers in the world are from Belgium. But to say that imported beers are far superior to American beers when they've never tried a micro-brew drives me nuts. Do you know what I mean?
