I don't know if that is possible...figuratively speaking maybe..lol..But I do know that dehydration is why you get hungover so if you drink water in between (for every shot one 8 oz. glass of water) than you don't feel so gross the next day...lol

I have to disagree with almost every one (again) it certainly is possible I have done it, how or why I dont know, but I have!!
The main thing I disagree with is the water drinking, no amount of water will 'flush away' booze, it takes absorbtion to get rid of booze in the body!
The human body is not a loo, you cant flush booze away by drinking water, in fact if you try you could end up in real danger drinking too much water, do not try it!!

It is not possible to drink yourself sober. It is however possible to sober up by using chemicals (cocaine, speed, etc.) This will immediately give the user a feeling of being sober and allow them to drink like a fish.

There was a young vampire named Mabel
Her periods were very unstable
By the light of the moon
With the aid of a spoon
She would drink herself under the table.

It is impossible to drink (alcohol) yourself sober.
It is a common saying; a wry way of explaining how the depressive effects of alcohol catch up with you, after the initial loss of inhibition caused by the drug.
Alcohol is (clinically) classed as a depresssive drug

it isn't, it is a myth you can only drink yourself drunk and think you are more sober than you are, im an alcoholic i have tried and i know all that happens is you get more drunk, the only way to sober up is a few hours sleep then you can concentrate on getting drunk again

sober? technically, no. but theoretically, if you drink enough water, that should help flush the alcohol out of your system. also, sports drinks like gatorade that contain salt will help some of the effects of a hangover.
