you get less oxygen with the liquid when you drink through a straw, so the liquor is a little more concentrated.
I think the only reason more straws increase the rate is that more straws means you're drinking more liquor.

I don't think that's true, because having a straw in your drink doesn't mean your beverage has more alcohol in it. Maybe it's just that you tend to drink faster since less of the drink comes up through a straw, and then you'll want a refill... the cycle obviously would intoxicate you.

Because when you drink with a straw you drink faster. That's the reason straws became so popular since the sodas introduction and people got used to have bigger drinks with their meals.

there is a few anecdotal data that alcohol sipped by using a straw is stronger than purely ingesting rapidly from the glass. ingesting by using a straw helps combination air with the alcohol, donning it to the nasal hollow area the place it is absorbed extra devoid of delay. an excellent flow of alcohol additionally boosts absorption performance. google it in case you do not believe it!

The reason you get drunker faster from a straw is because you don't taste it full force. therefor you drink more. lmao. Also you get less oxygen. Not to mention drinking faster. I think all these things contribute to it.

I drink with a straw all the time.
Get buzzed faster, cuz the alcohol settles at the bottom of the glass.

The liquor settles to the bottom of the glass, so when you drink from the straw, you get mostly liquor. Unless you stir it up before you drink.
