If we miss breakfast we tend to have 'brunch' or 'elevenses' which is usually a toasted sandwich or two, but with tea not with alcohol though.

Brunch, a rather old fashioned word these days, more associated with quality living in Edwardian England, is a meal taken between breakfast and lunch, hence BRUNCH. It might be the case that people ate this instead of breakfast or lunch and not in addition to.

Brunch is great in my opinion. Its an extended eating period from 10a-ish to 2p-ish and often includes both breakfast and lunch food choices. The extended time usually offers socialization while one fuels the body. Alcohol isnt necessarily part of the meal and is kinda silly considering the energy intake would just be wasted. Brunch always brings to me a calming/relaxion happy effect. I think its a high produced from the burning sterno to keep the food warm. Happy hours with burning sterno brings the same happy feelings to me. Bruch is cool with or without alcohol in my opinion.

Obviously, it is both a good idea, and another excuse to have more food with alcohol.

I skip breakfast & brunch. I don't do mornings. Lunch is ok if it's 1:00 or after :)
