I am a vegan and hence I avoid all animal products such as milk and eggs. The problem is that there are so many products out in the market which use them in the recipes. I have recently found that frenchfries contain milk in their preparation much to my dismay. Even Jell-O, marshmallows and many more such foods contain gelatin which is extracted from animals.

I would like to know a list of all such (most common) food items which use animal products so that I can avoid them. I have tried a few websites such as goveg.com, peta.org, etc but I could not find a comprehensively compiled list anywhere.

Vegans, help me out. Thanks

My boyfriend volunteered our house to have his family over, and this is the first time I've ever had to make a Christmas dinner. (Remind me to thank him later....) I have no idea what I am doing! How much should I make? Is there anything that I could possible prepare a day or so a head of time? What should I expect? Any good holiday recipes? Or any good websites to get recipes from? I'm not the greatest cook, is there anything simple, yet crowd pleasing? PLEASE HELP!

Seeing the bartender or barmaid not a do a damn thing when something like that happens makes me so mad.

Did you see that movie called "They Nest"? Remember when that guy not only never got back at those guys in that small town of Maine or ever made peace with them, but they beat him up in a bar, took him out, and that stupid bartender didn't do a damn thing to help out that guy? I thought that crap was just wrong.

I'm starting to plan my parents 50th wedding anniversary party and I got some ideas off the internet. One that I read was to have a potluck and I just wondered if that would be tacky to ask guests to bring a dish for a potluck. Just looking for people's opinions. thanks!

Am I lacking in taste because I prefer just about any other bourbon to JD? Is there some subtlety or something I'm not picking up on?

I love animals, but I also love eating meat. I live in a city where it would be pretty easy to eat out and be a vegetarian. What are your thoughts on the subject in general.

I love See's candy butterscotch squares and I would like to make them at home instead of the 20 minutes drive to the mall. Anyone know of a recipie with a similar consistency. A slight sugar granual texture, but soft and melts in your mouth, a brown sugar maple flavor.
