A rusty nail is Scotch and Drambuie in equal parts.

Considering you are mixing the scotch with a sweeter alcohol must any good name scotch will work. I like White Label.

I would go with Johnny Red or Dewars and not get to crazy with expensive scotch.
Naturally you mix it with half Drambui.
I like to chill the glass.... ussually stick itin the ice...... pour ice scotch and drambui in a metal shaker and serve chilled and neat, some people like a lemon peel (twist) in this drink.

Hey buddy.

I've never had that drink I but I have heard that you're not supposed to stir it, not even with a rusty nail.
