I love to bake and for friends and family, I prefer to send care packages of goodies at Christmas.

If you were to get one, what would you want in it?
If you've made some in the past, what did you include that got rave reviews?

Recipes would be great if you have them.

My friend doesn't drink every day but every time that he does drink, he can't stop and ends up extremely drunk. He drinks every weekend but not during the week (usually). When I bring it up he gets angry and defensive and says that he is not an alcoholic because he doesn't drink every day. But the last time we were out with friends, he wound up at the bar taking shots by himself. How do I get him to realize that if this isn't a problem now, it will lead to one soon.

having made a few countrystyle wines from various fruit and such and being a fan off star trek i was wondering if there is a recipe for klingon blood wine that uses real blood and not just tabasco sauce and rum like the many of the recipes i've found online. there must be a recipe out there somewhere for a wine made with blood theres plenty of black pudding around

this popular wine maker was recently in a magazine article, explaining how a batch of chardonnay was messed up. it was then bottled and sold for a few dollars a bottle. however the stores could not keep it in stock. the wine has been refined, but is still sold.

It'll be like 60 ppl, unless I shrink my guest list. (Which I'll probably have to do.) I was thinking just food, christmas music, and chatting. Does this sound boring? I can't think of anything else to do. Maybe a gag gift thing? How do I go about that? Thanks!

i'll be taking delivery of my first ever organic veg box tomorrow and, i have to tell you, ive never been so excited since archie gemmill scored that wonderful goal against holland in the 1978 world cup. and i wasnt even born then! and im not even scottish!

anyway, what im wondering is, will the novelty wear off?

will i soon get bored of getting an organic veg box every week? will i come to dread washing and peeling and steaming vegetables every evening?

will i soon slip back into my old habits of eating junk food out of cardboard boxes and polystyrene trays?

what are your experiences of organic veg boxes?
