Used to think so until I heard a blip on the news about canned beans being contaminated with some kind of food poisoning.
Just caught the tail end. Didn't catch which companies.
So I'd say be on the safe side and bring them to a good boil first then, put them in the ice box to get them back cold before putting them in your bean salad.

It sure is. It's been processed correctly, so it's safe to eat. I eat a can of cold green beans daily. Sometimes, I dip the beans in Ranch dressing. Yummy!

Mmmm.... i admire popping some green beans in my mouth from the can in the previous cooking them! i admire the form of squeak it makes against your tooth! no longer weird and wonderful in any respect!! I additionally like to devour uncooked potatoes when you peel them, good in the previous boiling for mashed potatoes!

Yes. It is precooked. And on top of that, it is a vegetable which most can be eaten raw anyways.
